Help me beat Tower Madness - Micro and Sudden Death

I've spent hours and hours and hours trying to beat all the levels on Tower Madness on my iPod, but I just can't. Two levels - Micro and Sudden Death - well, they are just impossible. I am asking the internet community - help! Tips and vids would be most appreciative. Thank you.

Hi Jonathan,

I'm thrilled to hear you've beaten so many of our levels. Have you had an opportunity to check out the replays in Madness Online? They should be invaluable in uncovering strategies and aid you in becoming "unstuck".

Best of luck!

Awesome! Thanks, Arash! I don't think it was 100% intuitive for me to think of looking for videos inside the app itself. Maybe that's because I'm 32. Anyway, this was superb, and I'm awed by how smart these gamers were. Keep up the great work.

Arash sounds like a wizards name. Be careful, he may have enchanted your blog.

Hello,

This puzzle took me FOREVER to figure out. I had to "cheat", that is I used the flamethrower... only level I've had to do that, but I was finally able to win with 10 sheep!

Here's a quick walk through for anyone interested (SPOILER ALERT):

1. Start with a Plasmatron in the position directly to the right of the landing pad. Upgrade this to the $40 (wait for $80). Put an Electro Tower right above this.

2. Let the waves come, upgrade the Plasmatron to $80, then the Electro to $100. Then upgrade the Plasmatron all the way.

3. Upgrade Electro to $125 and add an Electro Slow directly above the landing pad.

4. VERY IMPORTANT! Add a flame tower directly above the 3rd dirt trail from the left.

5. Upgrade the flame tower to level 2 before level 30. The best way is to sell your Plasmatron by the time you have $480ish in the bank, this will keep you safe for a while.

6. Build a new plasmatron in the same position. Add Electro Slow towers in strategic positions to slow down the enemies, upgrade one near the flame thrower all the way.

7. Begin building Electro-boost towers near the flame thrower. You should be able to get 3 in. Upgrade all of these one at a time all the way. This will keep the enemy killed.

8. You should be very close to the end here, and timing is everything. Sell everything except your flame thrower and electro boost towers, plus 1-3 electro slow towers to fully upgrade the flame tower.

9. You win!

so, fine - but how do you beat it without flamethrower? Arash says all levels are beatable in normal, so that would be without buying the extra flamethrower...

Make them snake thru your map and make them slow and stun them as they pass thru your maxed out towers...

Thanks for the info, guys! I've also heard that, while it's theoretically possible to beat this stuff w/o the flamethrower, that no one has ever done it...

Hi,

I finished 'sudden death' now, without the flamethrower. It was really hard to do, and I had to use a little trick.

But hey... IT IS POSSIBLE ;)

Do you know if it's possible to get the video... somewhere. I had only one chance to watch it. And now there's only one screenshot left on my phone....

regards

When you say "beat" the level, do you mean save all 10 sheep or just finish with one or more sheep. If you mean save all 10, then I've never seen anyone beat Micro without flamethrower. On the other hand, it's quite possible to save 2 sheep without flamethrower.

I have beat the sudden Death without the flame... :-) ... I think that i tryed it 100 times :-)

Sudden death is definitly doable without flame-thrower, but you have to get to know the waves and I do alot of maze switching to keep em walking. Dice is tricky too, but again lots of maze switching or remazing- whatever you want to call it.
But Endurance? I got to about 297, but you can't maze the flying beasties. What do I do? tried all sorts of variety of firepower, money is no object so make what you want - still proper difficult. Actually just had an idea to get myself some more squares... Maybe those few will get me over to walking bosses-- they're easy... hope not too many flying bosses. Pleeeese.

What is "maze switching?"

Endurance? I used bait sheep, and lots of nuke mines and plasmatrons to slow the big planes, as well as flamethrowers and boost towers. rows of each is most powerful

I've beaten sudden death and endurance with 10 sheep. I'm trying to figure out dice but I think it's possible. What I can't figure out is micro. All of this is w/o a flamethrower fyi

Maze switching is when you keep rebuilding and selling to consistently switch the way the aliens walk, which should keep the aliens walking.

I've beat sudden death many times with flamethrower it's all about mazing them and changing their direction once they get too close.

Guys, can anyone finish Micro without any Flamethrower or Mines? I've been trying for 3 months... It's my challenge to you

I think both are quite difficult maps...Micro definitely deserves the title of hardest level in the game right before sudden death and (Surprised nobody has mentioned this one yet) Mini. Dice is also extremely difficult. I think the trick to sudden death is to build a path for the aliens to follow that is changeable (like mentioned before)

After 100s attempts, I have finally beaten Micro, with 10 sheep left and no flamethrower. There's a good video out there on YouTube that shows how to do it (it' about 9 minutes long), even if you do exactly as shown, it might not necessarily work immediately. But I kept on trying and finally did it!
Now the only oneS I have left are mini and dice!

Same poster as previous message here.
I got through Mini as well!
You need to build a maze that allows you to re-direct aliens in opposite directions, while taking damage from an electrotower near their landing pads (upgraded it to 150$ pretty early on) a plasmatron and railgun around there, too.
The trick is to upgrade the flak to its maximum (1000$) quite early, i think around the 40th wave, with an electroslow at maximum near the sheep, ensuring the big flying aliens at the end stick around long enough to get sufficient damage.
The re-directing is also tricky, you should do it quite often, otherwise the line of aliens will be too long to allow you to sell and re-install the blocking plasmatron.
But I got there, with 10 sheep left, and not using a flamethower, so it is possible!
Now I only need to get through Dice, and I will have achieved all my levels with all sheep left.
Good luck to all!
